Gyokuro means “Jade Dew” and is one of Japan's finest teas. It was first discovered in 1835 by Kahei Yamamoto who shaded the leaves from sunlight for three weeks prior to harvesting. The result was an increase in the amount of caffeine and amino acids, as well as a sweeter brew. Use twice as much tea per cup with a lower brewing temperature for the perfect cup of tea. You can also brew this tea up to 2 times.
