Embellished Wood Tea Tong

Tea tongs are usually used in the gongfu tea ceremony, a traditional Chinese tea ceremony that involves the ritual preparation and presentation of tea to guests. The tongs are a tool used to pick up the small tea cups when rinsing with hot water or to pick out stray tea leaves that manage to escape the tea pot.

These tongs have an intricately carved top with swirls reminiscent of clouds. It also has 3 parallel lines carved on the inside of each end for grip.
