Genmaicha is a blend of Japanese green tea and roasted brown rice. Sometimes referred to as “popcorn tea” due to a few grains of rice popping during the roasting process, this tea used to be consumed by the lower class as a way to stretch their tea supply. Coming from Kirishima District in Kagoshima, Japan, this batch of Genmaicha is specifically made using quality select needle-shaped leaves.

How to Brew: Steep 1 tsp of tea per 8 oz. of water for 2 minutes. Ideal water temperature: 175-180°F
